What are the maintenance and liquid replacement costs for running a coating machine for phones?
If I buy the UV nano coating machine for phones for my accessories shop what is the recurring cost of the nano liquid bottles? How many phone screens can one small bottle of the coating liquid successfully cover? Are there different qualities of liquid and does the UV light bulb inside the machine need frequent replacement?

3 days agoRunning a business with a UV nano coating machine for phones is highly lucrative because the recurring maintenance costs are incredibly low. The primary recurring cost is the nano liquid itself. A standard high quality 30ml bottle of Silicon Dioxide nano liquid costs between 2,500 and 4,000 Naira from wholesale tech importers. Because the application requires only 3 to 5 tiny drops per smartphone screen one 30ml bottle can successfully coat between 30 and 50 phones. If you charge an average of 3,000 Naira per application a single 3,000 Naira bottle generates over 90,000 Naira in revenue. This is why you see so many young entrepreneurs setting up these small kiosks in shopping malls across Nigeria.

3 days agoRegarding the hardware maintenance of the coating machine for phones: The machine itself is essentially a basic box lined with reflective material housing UV (Ultraviolet) LED lights or fluorescent bulbs. It has no complex moving parts. The UV lights cure and harden the liquid onto the glass in about 3 to 5 minutes. If the machine uses UV LED bulbs they are rated for thousands of hours and will likely outlast the plastic casing of the machine itself never needing replacement. If it uses older fluorescent UV tubes those might burn out after a year of heavy use but replacement tubes cost less than 2,000 Naira. Your only other consumables are microfiber cleaning cloths and alcohol wipes to prep the screens which cost pennies. It is a brilliant high margin micro business.

3 days agoThe margins are insane. I spend maybe 100 Naira on liquid per customer and charge them 4,000 Naira. The key is finding a high traffic location like a mall entrance. The rent for the small table space is your only real major expense.

3 days agoMake sure you buy the premium imported liquid from brands like Spigen or Hi-Tech if you can find them. The generic unbranded bottles from China sometimes leave a cloudy residue on the screen if you cure it too long under the UV light.
