Where can I buy an authentic glap gamepad in Nigeria and is it worth the premium price?
The glap gamepad seems to be the most premium extending controller for mobile gaming offering an Xbox style layout and massive battery life. However it is quite expensive compared to standard Bluetooth controllers like Ipega or Flydigi. Where can I buy a brand new unit in Lagos? Does the build quality joystick precision and lack of input lag truly justify paying such a high price for a mobile gaming accessory?

3 days agoSourcing a brand new authentic glap gamepad in Nigeria is incredibly difficult because it was primarily marketed in South Korea and the US as a Samsung accessory. You will rarely find it sitting on a shelf in a standard Computer Village gaming shop. To buy a brand new unit you usually have to order it through premium gaming accessory importers on platforms like Jiji or use proxy shipping services (like Shop and Ship) to buy it directly from Amazon US and ship it to Lagos. Expect to pay a massive premium usually between 65,000 and 90,000 Naira after shipping and customs duties are factored in.

3 days agoTo answer whether the glap gamepad is worth the premium price: It depends entirely on how sensitive you are to input lag. The Glap controller connects via Bluetooth. While the build quality the tactile feel of the buttons and the joystick precision are phenomenally better than cheap Ipega controllers Bluetooth inherently introduces a tiny fraction of a second of input latency. For casual games or RPGs it is flawless. However if you are playing highly competitive fast paced shooters that slight delay can be frustrating. For the same high price you could buy the Razer Kishi or the Backbone One in Nigeria. Those controllers plug directly into your phones Type C port offering absolute zero latency direct connection which is vastly superior for hardcore mobile gaming.

3 days agoI ordered mine from Amazon last year. It feels incredibly premium in the hands much better than the flimsy cheap plastic controllers. The analog sticks have perfect resistance for aiming.

3 days agoThe Glap is great because it creates a massive gap behind the phone allowing the phone to dissipate heat properly. Controllers that wrap tight against the back of the phone cause massive overheating during heavy gaming.
