3 days agoRegarding the physical durability of the HP 250 series you must manage your expectations. This is a budget corporate machine. The entire chassis including the lid and the palm rest is constructed from ABS plastic. While it features a nice textured finish that hides fingerprints it is not built to withstand severe physical abuse. If your administrative staff are careless and constantly drop the laptop or yank the screen backwards past its natural stopping point the plastic hinges will absolutely snap within a year. The hinges are anchored into the plastic base with very small metal screws that strip out easily under stress. You must instruct your staff to always open the laptop gently from the center of the screen not from the corners.

3 days agoI bought three of the Core i3 G8 models for my accounting staff. They perform flawlessly for Quickbooks and heavy Excel sheets. Just make sure you buy the ones with an SSD not a mechanical hard drive.

3 days agoThe plastic body is very flimsy. One of my staff dropped hers off a normal office desk and the corner of the laptop shattered exposing the motherboard. They are good laptops but you have to treat them like fragile eggs.

3 days agoFor a small business the brand new warranty gives you absolute peace of mind. If the motherboard fails within the first year HP will replace it for free at their official service center in Ikeja. You do not get that security with used laptops.
