Does the hp 348 g7 notebook pc feature a fast enough processor for heavy Excel data analysis?
As a financial analyst I work with massive Excel workbooks containing thousands of rows and complex macro formulas. I have the option to purchase the hp 348 g7 notebook pc from a vendor but I am highly skeptical of its performance capabilities. Does the standard configuration of the hp 348 g7 notebook pc have enough processing power and RAM to calculate heavy spreadsheets instantly without the spinning blue circle of death? Can the internal storage be easily upgraded to a faster NVMe SSD to speed up boot times?

This model was shipped with varying processors ranging from the Intel Core i3 up to the Core i7 (usually 8th or 10th generation). If the unit has an Intel Core i5 or i7 paired with at least 8GB of RAM it will handle complex Excel macros and massive pivot tables with absolute ease. 3 days agoI am an auditor and I use this laptop daily. I upgraded mine to 16GB of RAM and it runs huge financial models flawlessly. Do not attempt serious data analysis with just 4GB of RAM you will cry.

3 days agoThe laptop handles Excel brilliantly but the screen is a bit small for viewing massive spreadsheets with hundreds of columns. You will definitely want to buy an external 24 inch monitor for your desk to increase your productivity.

3 days agoUpgrading to an NVMe SSD changes everything. My computer used to take 2 minutes to open a 50MB Excel file. After the NVMe upgrade it opens the exact same file in 3 seconds. It is a mandatory upgrade.
