Do the standard hp elitebook 8570p specifications include a backlit keyboard and a 1080p display?

I am very particular about my laptop screen resolution and keyboard. I am reviewing the hp elitebook 8570p specifications online to see if it meets my needs for late night office work. I absolutely hate the basic 1366x768 blurry screens. Did HP manufacture this model with a Full HD 1080p display option? Furthermore do the official hp elitebook 8570p specifications guarantee a glowing backlit keyboard or was that an optional upgrade that I must specifically look for when hunting for a fairly used unit in Lagos?

When hunting for a used laptop understanding the factory hp elitebook 8570p specifications is crucial because corporate laptops are highly customizable. To answer your first question: Yes HP absolutely manufactured the 8570p with a beautiful Full HD 1080p (1920x1080) matte display option. The 1080p screen on this specific model is fantastic offering wide viewing angles and excellent color reproduction making it perfect for detailed office work. However it was an expensive optional upgrade. The vast majority of standard corporate lease units imported into Nigeria feature the terrible basic 1366x768 resolution or the mid tier 1600x900 resolution (HD+). You must explicitly demand the 1080p version from the vendor and verify it in the Windows Display Settings before paying.

Regarding the keyboard the official hp elitebook 8570p specifications do NOT include a backlit keyboard as a standard feature. In fact finding an 8570p with a factory backlit keyboard is incredibly rare because it was a very niche upgrade during that era. However HP included an ingenious alternative. Every single HP EliteBook 8570p features a physical pop out "ThinkLight" style LED lamp located in the top bezel of the screen right next to the webcam. You press a small physical button on the bezel and a tiny LED bulb pops out and shines a direct beam of white light down onto the keyboard. It perfectly illuminates the keys for late night typing during power outages without needing an internally backlit keyboard.

The pop out light in the screen bezel is the coolest feature ever. It feels like James Bond gadgetry. It actually works better than a backlit keyboard because it also illuminates any physical documents you place on the palm rest.

I hunted Computer Village for two weeks to find the 1080p version. It is rare but it is worth the search. The standard 1366x768 screen on a massive 15.6 inch laptop makes the icons look huge and the text incredibly blurry.

If the vendor swears it is 1080p right click the desktop and check the resolution yourself. Do not trust them. Many vendors do not even know the difference between standard HD and Full HD.
