What is the current infinix hot 40i price in nigeria and is it good for gaming?

I want to buy a budget smartphone primarily for playing Call of Duty Mobile and PUBG. The Infinix Hot series is very popular among mobile gamers. What is the official brand new infinix hot 40i price in nigeria today? Does the Unisoc processor inside it actually handle heavy games at medium graphics settings without overheating the phone and draining the battery in two hours?

The current official brand new infinix hot 40i price in nigeria for the base model (4GB RAM / 128GB Storage) sits around 110,000 to 125,000 Naira depending on the specific retail store like Slot or 3C Hub. If you opt for the higher 8GB RAM variant the price jumps closer to 140,000 Naira. The Infinix Hot series explicitly targets the budget gaming demographic. To answer your question about gaming performance: The Hot 40i uses the Unisoc T606 processor. This is a highly entry level chipset. While it will absolutely run Call of Duty Mobile and PUBG you must manage your expectations. It will only run these heavy games smoothly on "Low" or "Medium" graphics settings. If you push it to "High" graphics the frame rate will stutter terribly making the game unplayable.

Regarding overheating and battery drain on the infinix hot 40i: The Unisoc processor is not particularly power efficient. If you play PUBG continuously the plastic back of the phone will get noticeably warm specifically around the camera module. It will not reach dangerous temperatures but the heat will cause the processor to thermal throttle slightly dimming the screen brightness automatically to cool down. The massive 5000mAh battery is its saving grace. Even under heavy gaming it will not drain in two hours; you will realistically get about 4 to 5 hours of continuous heavy gaming before needing a charger. For a budget gaming device it offers fantastic value but it will never match the flawless high frame rate performance of an expensive iPhone or flagship Snapdragon device.

I play CoD Mobile on the Hot 40i daily. It handles multiplayer matches perfectly on medium settings but when I play the massive Battle Royale map it lags heavily when too many enemies are on screen.

The 8GB RAM version is a must if you want to game. The "Extended RAM" feature Infinix advertises (where it uses storage space as RAM) is mostly a marketing gimmick. It does not actually speed up heavy games. Buy the true 8GB physical RAM version.

The battery life is amazing. I can play games for hours and still have enough battery left to browse Twitter and watch YouTube before bed. But the charging is very slow it takes over two hours to charge fully.
