Is the brand new infinix hot 50i price justified by its camera and battery upgrades?
Infinix just launched the new Hot 50 series. I am trying to decide if I should buy the older 40i or pay extra for the new one. What is the current infinix hot 50i price in major stores like Slot? Did Infinix actually upgrade the camera sensor and the processor or is it just the exact same phone repackaged in a different plastic body to trick buyers?

3 days agoThe brand new infinix hot 50i price in major retail stores currently hovers around 135,000 to 150,000 Naira for the highest storage configuration. The dilemma of upgrading from the Hot 40i to the Hot 50i is a classic budget smartphone trap. Smartphone manufacturers often release iterative yearly updates that offer very minimal actual hardware improvements. To answer your question bluntly: The upgrade is largely cosmetic and marketing driven. The Infinix Hot 50i features a slightly refreshed external plastic design making the camera module look more modern and premium resembling expensive flagship phones. However internally the leap is not massive enough to justify dumping a perfectly working Hot 40i.

3 days agoWhen you analyze the actual hardware upgrades justifying the infinix hot 50i price the differences are marginal. The processor upgrade (if any depending on the exact regional variant) offers perhaps a 10 percent bump in raw speed which you will completely fail to notice in daily WhatsApp usage or casual gaming. The camera sensor remains largely identical; Infinix relies heavily on aggressive software AI to make photos look brighter rather than installing expensive larger camera lenses. The battery remains the standard 5000mAh. If you are currently using a very old broken phone like a Hot 10 or Hot 12 buying the Hot 50i is a fantastic leap forward. But if you already own the Hot 40i paying extra for the Hot 50i is practically paying for a new plastic shell. Keep your money.

3 days agoI compared my friends new Hot 50i to my Hot 40i. The screens look exactly the same the games run exactly the same and the cameras take the exact same pictures. The only difference is the shape of the camera bump.

3 days agoInfinix just releases a "new" phone every 6 months to keep their name trending. Do not fall for the hype. Unless your current phone screen is completely shattered there is zero reason to upgrade just for a new number.

3 days agoThe 120Hz screen refresh rate on the newer models makes scrolling through Instagram feel slightly smoother but it drains the battery faster. It is a nice feature but not worth spending 150k if you already have a working phone.
