Exactly iphone 7 how much in nigeria today and is it a total waste of money?
I need a very cheap phone for a secondary SIM card. Vendors are throwing the iPhone 7 around for very low prices. Exactly iphone 7 how much in nigeria today for a fairly used 32GB unit? I know the battery life is terrible but will this phone still install basic banking apps or has Apple completely blocked it from the App Store because it is too old?

3 days agoThe iPhone 7 has severely depreciated making it dirt cheap. Currently exactly iphone 7 how much in nigeria today ranges between 55,000 and 70,000 Naira for a fairly used 32GB unit. It is a beautiful compact device with an excellent vibration motor and a decent screen. However to answer your question directly: Buying an iPhone 7 today is a total waste of money even as a secondary device because it is completely obsolete software wise. Apple stopped providing iOS updates for the iPhone 7 at iOS 15. It will never receive iOS 16 17 or 18.

3 days agoBecause it is stuck on ancient software the utility of the phone is rapidly dying. Most major Nigerian banking applications (like GTBank UBA and Access) frequently update their security protocols and now require newer iOS versions to function. Soon you will not be able to install or update banking apps. Furthermore popular apps like YouTube and even modern social media features will slowly stop working. Beyond the software the hardware is agonizing. The iPhone 7 battery was terrible when it was brand new; a used unit today will literally drain from 100 percent to zero in 2 hours of screen time requiring you to live next to a wall socket. If you need a cheap Apple device you must stretch your budget to at least an iPhone 8 or SE 2nd Gen.

3 days agoI bought it as a secondary phone just to receive business calls. For strictly making calls and SMS it is fantastic. The earpiece is very loud and clear. But do not try to browse the internet with it it will die instantly.

3 days agoThe audio IC (the audio chip on the motherboard) is notoriously defective on the iPhone 7. Many used units have a disease where the microphone randomly stops working during calls and the speaker button grays out. Avoid it.

3 days agoIf you only have 60k buy a decent used Android phone like a Samsung A series or a Redmi. It will have a much bigger battery and can actually run modern banking apps securely without telling you your OS is outdated.
