What is the current iphone 7 plus price nigeria and is the dual camera still relevant?
I am looking for an affordable Apple device primarily for portrait photography for my small business page. The iPhone 7 Plus was famous for introducing the dual camera portrait mode. What is the authentic fairly used iphone 7 plus price nigeria today for a 128GB version? More importantly since this phone is quite old does the camera still take crisp photos compared to modern budget Android phones or has the image processing become outdated?

While the price is highly attractive for an Apple device you must face a harsh software reality. The iPhone 7 Plus is completely obsolete in terms of software support. Apple officially dropped iOS support for this model at iOS 15. This means you will never receive iOS 16 17 or 18. Because of this many modern applications including vital Nigerian banking apps and certain social media features are beginning to drop support for iOS 15. Within a year you might find yourself unable to update WhatsApp or use your banking applications securely on this device.

2 days agoRegarding your question about the dual camera on the iPhone 7 Plus: It was absolutely revolutionary when it launched introducing the world to computational Portrait Mode. However smartphone image processing has evolved massively since then. While the 7 Plus still takes very clean highly accurate photos in bright daylight it fails miserably in low light or indoor conditions compared to modern budget Androids. Modern budget phones use aggressive AI night modes to brighten dark scenes whereas the 7 Plus will just give you a grainy dark photo. The portrait mode is still decent but it struggles with edge detection around curly hair often blurring parts of the subject. If you only shoot outdoors in the afternoon it is fine but for professional business photography it shows its extreme age.

2 days agoI still use my 7 Plus for snapping product pictures for my thrift store. In natural sunlight the photos are incredibly sharp and natural. Apple color science is just better than cheap Androids that make everyone look like plastic dolls.

2 days agoDo not buy it. The battery life is a complete nightmare. Even if you replace the battery the old A10 processor is not power efficient. You will literally be charging it three times a day. Save up and buy an iPhone XR instead.

2 days agoThe Audio IC failure is a massive hardware defect on the iPhone 7 series. Check the voice memo app before paying. If the record button is grayed out the audio chip is fried and you will not be able to make calls. Avoid this phone.
