Does the iphone 8 nigeria price justify buying it over a brand new budget Android phone?
I have about 100,000 Naira to spend on a smartphone. The iphone 8 nigeria price puts it squarely in competition with brand new budget Android devices like the Redmi 12 or Infinix Smart 8. Is it a smarter financial decision to buy a six year old used iPhone 8 just to use the iOS ecosystem or should I buy a brand new Android phone that comes with a massive 5000mAh battery and a factory warranty?

2 days agoComparing the iphone 8 nigeria price against brand new budget Androids like the Redmi 12 is the ultimate tech dilemma. It boils down to processor efficiency versus modern utility. The six year old iPhone 8 features the A11 Bionic processor. Amazingly the raw single core processing power of this ancient Apple chip still outperforms the cheap MediaTek or Unisoc chips found in brand new 100,000 Naira Android phones. The iPhone will load heavy apps faster scroll smoother and record vastly superior video with optical image stabilization. If you value smooth software premium glass build quality and access to the Apple ecosystem (FaceTime iMessage) the iPhone 8 is superior.

2 days agoHowever when you look at practical daily utility in Nigeria the brand new budget Android completely destroys the iPhone 8. A brand new Redmi 12 gives you a massive 6.7 inch screen perfect for watching movies a massive 5000mAh battery that will easily last two full days of heavy usage and dual SIM capability for managing MTN and Airtel networks simultaneously. Most importantly the Android comes with a 12 month official factory warranty. If the iPhone 8 motherboard fails a week after buying it from Computer Village your money is completely gone. If you want a stress free reliable phone that never dies during NEPA outages buy the new Android. If you want prestige and video quality buy the used iPhone.

2 days agoI sold my used iPhone 8 to buy a new Infinix Note. I miss the iPhone camera terribly but the peace of mind of having a battery that lasts all day without a power bank is priceless.

2 days agoBrand new budget Androids have terrible cameras. They market 50MP lenses but the pictures look washed out and blurry. The old 12MP camera on the iPhone 8 still takes vastly superior natural looking photos.

2 days agoDo not forget the storage issue. A 100k Android gives you 128GB or 256GB of space. A 100k iPhone 8 only gives you 64GB which will fill up completely with WhatsApp media in two months.
