How long does the itel power bank 20000mah take to fully charge a modern smartphone?
With the current erratic NEPA power supply I urgently need a massive power bank to keep my devices alive. The itel power bank 20000mah is highly affordable compared to Oraimo or Anker. Does this power bank actually support fast charging for an iPhone or a Samsung device? Also considering it has a massive 20000mah capacity how many hours does it take to charge the power bank itself from zero to 100 percent using a standard wall charger?

2 days agoThe itel power bank 20000mah is a fantastic budget lifesaver for surviving the erratic NEPA power supply in Nigeria. It boasts a massive genuine capacity capable of fully charging a modern smartphone (with a standard 4000mAh battery) roughly three to four times before dying. However you must understand the difference between raw capacity and charging speed. The vast majority of affordable Itel 20000mAh power banks do NOT support modern ultra fast charging protocols like Power Delivery (PD) or Qualcomm Quick Charge. They typically output a maximum of 10W or 12W (5V/2A or 2.4A). This means it will provide a steady standard charge. It will take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours to fully charge a modern Samsung or iPhone from zero to 100 percent.

2 days agoThe most crucial aspect of owning the itel power bank 20000mah is the time it takes to recharge the massive power bank itself. Because it lacks ultra fast input charging pushing 20,000mAh of electricity into the lithium cells takes an agonizingly long time. If you use a standard 10W wall charger it will take anywhere from 10 to 14 hours to charge the power bank from zero to completely full. You must practically leave it plugged in overnight. If you only have generator power for 3 hours a day you will struggle to keep this massive power bank fully topped up. Ensure you use a high quality thick Micro USB or Type C cable to charge the power bank; a cheap thin cable will restrict the voltage and increase the charging time to over 20 hours.

2 days agoI have the Itel Star 20000mAh model. It is a literal brick very heavy but it never dies. It keeps my phone and my Wi-Fi router powered all weekend. Excellent value for money.

2 days agoThe charging speed is definitely slow. If you are using your phone to watch movies while it is plugged into the power bank the battery percentage will barely increase because the power bank output is struggling to match your phones power consumption.

2 days agoPlug it in before you sleep and forget about it. By morning it will show the four full LED lights. Also try not to drop it the heavy internal battery cells can easily crack the plastic casing if it falls on tiles.
