Is the coffee maker kenwood a durable machine for a busy small office?
My colleagues and I drink a lot of coffee in our small office to stay awake. We want to contribute money to buy a reliable drip machine. Is the coffee maker kenwood a durable choice for brewing multiple pots a day? Does it keep the coffee piping hot for hours without burning the bottom of the glass jug?

2 days agoThe coffee maker kenwood brand holds a very solid reputation for small office environments. Kenwood appliances are generally known for reliable British engineering aesthetics even though they are manufactured globally now. For a busy small office a standard 10 cup or 12 cup Kenwood drip coffee maker is an excellent investment costing around 45,000 to 70,000 Naira. The build quality is highly durable featuring sturdy plastic housing and a thick glass carafe. The internal heating element boils water rapidly and consistently pouring it over your ground coffee to produce a very clean and robust pot of coffee in about five to seven minutes which is perfect for impatient staff.

2 days agoHowever to address your concern about keeping the coffee hot the coffee maker kenwood operates like most standard drip machines. It features a heated metal hotplate underneath the glass carafe that stays on to keep the coffee warm. If you leave a pot of coffee sitting on that active hotplate for more than 45 minutes the coffee will absolutely begin to "cook" and burn against the glass. Burnt coffee tastes incredibly bitter and acidic. For an office environment the smartest alternative is to buy a coffee maker that brews directly into a double walled stainless steel thermal carafe instead of glass. A thermal carafe keeps the coffee piping hot for hours using insulation rather than direct heat ensuring the last cup tastes just as fresh as the first.

2 days agoWe have a Kenwood machine in our accounting office. It works perfectly every morning. Just make sure everyone agrees to throw away the wet paper filter immediately after brewing otherwise the office will smell like sour coffee the next day.

2 days agoThe glass jugs are very fragile. We broke ours while washing it in the office sink and finding a replacement glass jug that fits perfectly is almost impossible in Nigeria. We had to buy a completely new machine.

2 days agoIf you want the best coffee experience buy whole beans and a small grinder. Pre ground coffee sold in supermarkets goes stale very quickly. Grinding fresh beans right before using the Kenwood machine makes the office smell heavenly.
