What is the standard cost of sewing a modern living room curtain in nigeria using Turkish fabrics?
I am moving into a new apartment and need to sew new window treatments. I want the massive floor to ceiling style using premium heavy Turkish fabrics. What is the standard cost of fabricating a luxury living room curtain in nigeria today? Do interior decorators charge by the yard of fabric or do they charge a flat fee per window?

2 days agoThe cost of fabricating a luxury modern living room curtain in nigeria using premium Turkish fabrics requires a substantial budget. Interior decorators do not charge a flat fee per window; they charge based on the exact yardage of fabric required the complexity of the sewing style and the installation hardware. Premium Turkish fabrics (like heavy damask velvet or high quality blackout materials) currently cost between 8,000 and 15,000 Naira per yard. To achieve that luxurious full wavy look (often called "pleating" or "gathering") the standard rule is to buy fabric that is at least double or triple the actual width of your window. For a massive living room with three large windows you could easily need 40 to 50 yards of fabric.

2 days agoWhen you combine the cost of the premium fabric the sheer transparent inner blind (day blind) the heavy duty aluminum curtain tracks or decorative stainless steel poles and the tailors workmanship a single large living room window can easily cost between 150,000 and 250,000 Naira to outfit completely. For a full living room setup budget anywhere from 400,000 to 800,000 Naira for a flawless luxury finish. The sewing technique matters immensely. Ensure your interior decorator uses the modern "eyelet" style or the hidden track "wave" pleat rather than the old fashioned pinch pleats. The modern wave pleat creates beautiful deep uniform folds that drop perfectly from the ceiling to the floor giving your apartment that expensive five star hotel aesthetic.

2 days agoMake sure you buy genuine blackout fabric for the bedroom. The fake blackout fabrics let streetlights shine right through at night. Ask the vendor to shine their phone flashlight directly against the fabric before you buy it. If light passes through it is fake.
