Where can I find a durable defeathering machine for sale for a poultry farm?
I am upgrading my poultry farm operations. Plucking feathers manually by hand is too stressful and delays the processing time for my customers. I am looking for a heavy duty defeathering machine for sale. What is the current price for a machine that can process at least five large chickens simultaneously without tearing their skin and where can I buy an authentic one?

2 days agoAcquiring an industrial defeathering machine for sale is the most critical upgrade for transitioning a local poultry farm into a commercial processing hub. Manual plucking is not only slow but it physically exhausts your workers and limits your daily sales capacity. The machine works using a rapidly spinning stainless steel drum lined with dozens of thick ribbed rubber fingers. When you drop scalded chickens into the spinning drum the rubber fingers aggressively rub against the skin ripping the feathers off without tearing the meat. A standard medium sized machine capable of processing four to five large broilers simultaneously within 30 seconds currently costs between 180,000 and 300,000 Naira in Nigeria depending on the motor horsepower.

2 days agoWhen searching for a durable defeathering machine for sale you have two options: imported Chinese stainless steel models or locally fabricated heavy duty models. The imported models look very neat and professional but the electric motors sometimes struggle with heavy Nigerian voltage fluctuations. Locally fabricated machines (which you can find in major agricultural equipment markets or through skilled welders) might look slightly rugged but they use massive indestructible cast iron motors that can run all day without overheating. The absolute secret to successful machine plucking is the scalding process. You must dip the slaughtered chickens in hot water (exactly between 60 to 65 degrees Celsius) for about a minute before dropping them in the machine. If the water is too hot the machine will rip the cooked skin completely off ruining the meat.

2 days agoI bought a locally made defeathering machine last year. It processes 100 chickens in an hour. My customers are so happy because they do not have to wait in line anymore. The rubber fingers wear out after a few months but they are very cheap to replace.

2 days agoMake sure you install the machine on a slightly slanted concrete floor with a good drainage system. The machine uses a lot of water to flush the feathers out of the bottom chute and it creates a massive mess if the water cannot drain away quickly.
