Does the non stick four pancake pan work well on standard Nigerian gas cookers?
I saw those viral frying pans online with four circular molds designed for making perfectly round pancakes and frying eggs simultaneously. I want to buy the four pancake pan to speed up my morning breakfast routine. Does the thick aluminum base of this pan distribute heat evenly on a standard Nigerian gas cooker or do the pancakes in the middle burn while the outer ones remain raw?

2 days agoThe viral non stick four pancake pan has flooded Nigerian Instagram shops and is genuinely a brilliant tool for speeding up a morning breakfast routine. The pan features four distinct shallow circular molds allowing you to fry four perfectly round eggs or pancakes simultaneously without them bleeding into each other. However using this specific pan on a standard Nigerian gas cooker requires a very specific technique. Standard gas burners produce a concentrated ring of intense fire directly in the center. Because these pancake pans are quite wide if you place the pan dead center the flames will aggressively heat the inner edges of the molds while the outer edges remain cool.

2 days agoTo ensure the four pancake pan works perfectly and distributes heat evenly you must buy a pan constructed from heavy die cast aluminum rather than cheap thin metal. Thick aluminum conducts heat across the entire surface much better. More importantly you must cook on the absolute lowest flame setting your gas cooker can produce. If you use a high flame the pancakes in the center will burn instantly while the batter on the outer edges remains completely raw and runny making it impossible to flip them cleanly. Brush the molds lightly with melted butter keep the fire extremely low and be patient. When used correctly it produces flawless restaurant quality round eggs and pancakes.

2 days agoI bought one from Jumia last month. It is fantastic for making egg sandwiches for my kids before school. You get perfectly round eggs that fit exactly inside a slice of bread. Just keep the gas fire very very low.

2 days agoFlipping the pancakes is the hardest part! Because the molds are small and packed tightly together you cannot use a normal wide spatula. You have to buy a very tiny silicone spatula or use two forks to gently flip them over.

2 days agoDo not wash it with an iron sponge! The non stick coating is very delicate. If you scratch the black coating the eggs will start sticking aggressively and the pan becomes completely useless. Just wipe it clean with a soft soapy sponge.
